Origins In response to a growing frustration of increasing operational expenses and the resulting challenges to growth, a small group of small to mid-size credit union began meeting to explore the possibilities of collaborating on projects. Soon discussions turned to the possibilities of joining forces to purchase items that currently were purchased individually in order to realize economies of scale. These networking sessions evolved to discussion of other ways collaboration could benefit the group. As a result the CU Partners Solutions CUSO was formed in May 2006.
Unlike other CUSOs that offer a specific product or service, CU Partners Solutions (CUPS) formation resulted in the following:
Vision Statement To engage in activities that will positively impact the members of the credit unions involved.
Mission Statement The principle business purpose of CU Partner Solutions LLC is to engage in activities that will have a positive impact on Growth and Operating Expenses for the members of the CUSO and its affiliates.
Strategy Statement To Gain efficiencies through Collaboration and Cooperation not only to ensure survival, but to use as a leverage tool to growth.
